We will have to nurture the small tortoises,” she told The Myanmar Times. There are over 2500 star tortoises in Minsontaung tortoise conservation camp and nearly 1000 have been released in a natural sanctuary, she said. Myanmar star tortoises start laying eggs at six years old in September and February. “
